The University of Newcastle’s chair of construction management Peter Davis will discuss tonight how relationship-driven decisions can deliver better outcomes for all involved.

His presentation titled: Deconstruction management, how relationships can make the difference in the building game is the latest in the new professors series of talks.

‘‘I’m hoping the audience will get a better understanding of construction procurement generally, the effect careful procurement selection has on value for money and overall productivity,’’ Professor Davis said.

‘‘I will endeavour to show how relationship development and maintenance within integrated project procurement can help achieve this.’’

Professor Davis, a respected academic and industry professional with more than 30 years experience, joined the university late last year.

Tonight’s presentation will be held at Newcastle Museum, Honeysuckle at 6.15pm.
